 1 cup of liquid milk

150 grams of chopped hearts of palm

 2 eggs

 ½ chopped tomato (seedless)

 salt (to taste)

fine herbs or dehydrated basil (to taste)

 chopped parsley (to taste)

 grated parmesan cheese (to taste)

 ½ tablespoon of baking powder

How to Make Salted Palm Heart Muffin:

Separate all the necessary ingredients to prepare the recipe for salted heart of palm muffin. Enjoy and separate a bowl, a spoon or a fouet and cupcake molds.

Tip: if you want, add another spice to bring even more flavor to the muffin.

In a bowl, mix the wheat flour with the salt.

Tip: at this time, preheat the oven to 180ºC.

Add milk, eggs, grated Parmesan cheese and mix.

Add the chopped tomatoes, parsley and fine herbs, mixing well.

Add the chopped (drained) heart of palm to the dough.

Finally, add the baking powder and mix everything gently.

Tip: preheat the oven to 180 degrees at this point.

In cupcake molds, fill with the dough until just above half (3/4 of the mold). This recipe yields around 10 muffins, depending on the size of the mold.

Tip: we use paper cups inside silicone molds, so there was no need to grease. If you are going to bake muffins directly in non-silicone molds, you will have to grease and flour them first.

Take the muffins to bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes or until they are firm and fluffy - when in doubt, test the toothpick.

Tip: if you want to make them more golden, after the suggested roasting time, turn off the oven and leave them in the oven until serving time.

Your palm heart and cheese muffins are ready for you to taste! Decorate them with chopped parsley and serve them as a snack or to accompany a meal.
